YELLOW My Well-being

How to take control
of your personal
well-being and happiness

What is your body telling you?

YELLOW is about awareness of our body and our thoughts about our self. When we remember that we are made up of energy, it stands to reason that how we think about our self and how we treat our body impacts our over all well-being. The food we put in, how we move, and how we think about it, all have an impact on our vibrational energy. So, just like we did in RED, we are looking to bring our energy vibration up to a level where we feel better about our self on a regular basis, and to do this we need to be aware of how we treat our body.

Be aware of how your body feels.

What is your body trying to tell you? What thoughts are you putting into your body when you eat and move? Are you telling yourself you hate this food or that exercise? Did you know that when you feel guilty about what you eat, you are eating those negative thoughts too?

How you FEEL and what your mood is when you eat or exercise, has just as much impact as what you are eating or doing. It is exactly the same as when you feel happy or sad. The vibration you are putting out is what you are attracting back.

How do you nurture your body?

YELLOW is about awareness of the choices you can make. It does not tell you how to eat or how to move, it guides you to find what your body is telling you. There will be patterns to why you are the way you are. We all have them. Some of us are fat, others bulimic, some of us have arthritis, others run marathons. We are all different in size, shape and needs but we all have one thing in common. We all have bodies that are trying to tell us something. YELLOW is the journal where we start listening so we can make better choices.

As you learn to recognise your body’s needs, you can choose how you want to respond to them. You may decide you are perfectly healthy and that is great, or you may decide that there are too many things to work on. If that is the case, then you simply start with one thing and work from there. Once you decide what you are prepared to do to make your life better, then commit to it. Love yourself and make this a LIFE choice, something you plan to do for the rest of your life. Making one proper change is much better than doing short lived yo-yo diets and exercise. This is one reason why diets don’t work. No one wants to commit to eating like that forever, because they FEEL deprived!

How we feel, is the key to this journal.

Remember all those dreams you had in ORANGE? Will your body carry you through those experiences?

I choose to honour my body

so I can have a full life

5-Star MUST READ by Anita Bernstein (A professional book reviewer at Reedsy)

A Self Help Book That is More Than the Expected Cliches and Predictable Mantras

If you were to enter the "self-help book" into the search bar of any major online bookseller, the list of titles to choose from is nearly endless. It is head-spinning to consider the possibilities and perspectives that can help us overcome what is holding us back.

Sharon Dawn's new book, Rainbow Vision Journal YELLOW: How to Take Control of Your Personal Well-Being and Happiness is the latest self-help book to hit the shelves. It would have been easy for the author to just preach to the reader about what they should or should not be doing. Instead, she asks questions and presents a variety of situations. It is then up to the individual to fill in the blanks and work through the emotional and psychological exercises. It feels like a therapy session that instead of being conducted in person or via telehealth, is a personal conversation the reader has with their inner selves. Allowing that person to work through their issues, it comes off as a natural and cathartic way to relieving ourselves of our burdens.

As someone who has been keeping a journal for twenty-ish years and has been in therapy on and off for nearly thirty years, I appreciate the insight that Ms. Dawn has. Therapy is great, but sometimes the therapist has an unwanted point of view that they inject into the session. A good therapist is an objective witness to our troubles. They listen to the patient and once in a while, provide examples from their own lives to help. But mostly, they are there is let the patient vent and provide guidance to help them achieve their goals.

I really enjoyed this book. Given the millions of people around the world who live with the various forms of mental illness, it is incumbent that we prove assistance in whatever way we can. By presenting Rainbow Vision Journal YELLOW: How to Take Control of Your Personal Well-Being and Happiness to the reading public, it becomes another tool in our collective arsenal to relieve those burdens.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great journal! By Christian Wasko

"Life is all about choice and how we choose to look after ourselves determines the quality of our life." This is how the journal starts out and I cannot agree more with this statement. This journal is a great way to put us on a path of accountability; to examine our life choices and make any needed changes accordingly. There is no blame. It is positive, supportive and has a great structure for self reflection.
